Sparkle On Girlfriend!

There are times... days, weeks, months, even years at a stretch when we just sparkle.  It emanates from our very core and radiates from our eyes and through our smile, actions and words.  Like breathing, it comes naturally, without a second thought.

Then there are times when we need to be close to others and let their sparkle shine through us.  Borrow their energy if you will.  Sometimes being energized by them without them even realizing it.  This is one of the joys of a close relationship and dear friends!  They give us the ability to plug into and share their happiness, lending the force - the oomph if you will, that we need to continue to shine.  This is the power of love.

A Grand Sunrise

Harry and I attended the Easter Sunrise Service at the Grand Canyon last weekend.  We arrived before dawn (of course) and as the worship service unfolded the sun rose above the horizon painting a gorgeous picture rich in color.   The sky rapidly shifted from darkness to daylight as the enormous gorge below seemed unchanging and unmoving.    In his sermon, the Pastor challenged us to let the Son rise in our lives.  Perhaps the key to letting the Son rise in our lives is to be rich in color and readily changing on the surface, while the core remains grounded and rock solid.

Captain Adorable

KT, my daughter-in-law, has been emailing me  pictures of my grandson almost daily.  It's such fun!  Pictures of him in the Captain Adorable outfit I bought for him, or on the blanket that Harry's sister made for him, or pictures of him sleeping, cooing or doing all those cute things babies do as they spend the first couple months of their life eating, sleeping, growing and discovering this world.  Enough words....I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Mason and Oscar are great buddies

This is one of my favorites
As you can see, babysitting is a tough job!
